Job Description
NES Fircroft are currently recruiting an Operations Technician on behalf of our client, a leading Oil & Gas operator, for their Bacton Terminal. This is an initial 12 month contract with possibility of long-term extension.
This role operates on a regular shift pattern of one week on, one week off, 12 hour days/nights.
Onshore Ops Tech:
This position is responsible for the maintenance, repair and operational testing of all trade (Electrical, Instrument, Mechanical, Operations) related equipment and systems to ensure efficient, reliable and safe standards on all installations.
You will work as part of a team to safely operate the terminal and offshore platforms through the application of operational and maintenance procedures and control room operations and maximise plant availability in the processing of gas received from offshore fields.
Qualifications and Required Experience:
- We are looking for an individual who has completed a time-served trade apprenticeship
- Previous experience working as an Operator within the Oil and Gas Industry would be an advantage
- Strong technical background qualified to a minimum of HNC or equivalent within an engineering discipline
- Ability to plan and organise your work
- Self-motivated and an active team player
- Good written and verbal communication skills
