Location: London – (Hybrid/Remote)
Type: Permanent | Full-time
The Role
Are you obsessed with YouTube and football? Love diving into data to understand what makes content thrive online? We’re looking for a sharp, analytical mind to join a fast-growing football media brand with one of the most engaged fanbases in the UK.
In this role, you will help a dynamic team turn numbers into narratives, and insights into impact. You’ll work closely with the creators, editors, and production team to improve content performance, grow the audience, and ensure the channel keeps leading from the front.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Owning analytics and reporting across multiple YouTube channels (main, shorts, etc.), tracking what’s working and where to improve.
- Monitoring KPIs like watch time, click-through rate, retention, and engagement to help shape content strategy.
- Offering practical, insight-driven suggestions to editors and production teams to improve performance.
- Helping plan and measure A/B thumbnail testing, publishing times, and format experimentation.
- Creating clear reports for both internal teams and external stakeholders to track progress and growth.
- Keeping an eye on competitor channels and industry trends — always staying one step ahead.
- Working closely with social and marketing teams to understand audience behaviour across platforms.
What We’re Looking For
- A football lover who truly understands the sport, the culture around it, and the fans who live it.
- Proven experience in YouTube channel analytics, ideally in sport, media, or creator-driven brands.
- Deep understanding of YouTube Studio, analytics tools, and content optimisation best practices.
- Comfortable using tools like TubeBuddy, VidIQ, or similar for SEO and performance tracking.
- Confident in interpreting data and communicating insights clearly to creative and production teams.
- Familiarity with other social platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Shorts is a bonus.
- A proactive mindset, always bringing ideas and questions that drive the channel forward.
