About the role
Join the team of EMEA Risk Engineers on our journey to become the leading service provider in the commercial insurance world! Our highly agile set-up allows a huge degree of job diversity and development opportunities. Our dual approach of own and 3rd party (field engineering partners) site surveys gives us increased flexibility and an outstanding customer-focus.
You would be the technical owner of all Risk Management property-related matters. You will be responsible for defining a servicing strategy to engineer your own portfolio. You’ll be challenged to innovate and work with teams to create solutions for our clients.
- Lead your own field-engineering visits
- Serve as the account engineer, depending on skills you may conduct loss prevention visits for clients in the EMEA Region
- Drive various projects and initiatives
- Create standard methodologies and guidelines or papers and industry updates
About the Team
We are a growing team of 8 Risk Engineers in the UK and 5 in France and are looking for you to join our friendly team. You would be joining a diverse team of engineers from multiple disciplines and backgrounds with an open approach to new ideas, keen on improving our systems and processes. We have a close working relationships with underwriting to collaboratively manage risk.
About you
We are looking for a phenomenal teammate with strong communication, negotiation and presenting skills who can constructively and respectfully engage in challenging conversations with both internal and external stakeholders. Are you curious, interested in learning new things every day? Do you consider yourself to be a “self-starter”, able and willing to take initiative and implement measures in a goal-oriented manner with:
Required:
- Master or Bachelor degree in Engineering, degree in Civil Engineering would be an advantage
- Property loss prevention background (>3 years at a reputable property risk engineering provider)
- Proficient digital literacy (e.g., Microsoft Office products, work with databases, data analytics) and ideally an affinity to digital solutions (technical savviness)
- Willingness to travel – mainly within Europe
- Driving license
Preferable:
- Language skills: English (business fluent), other languages are an advantage
