Cobalt is excited to partner with a Property Consultancy specialising in residential, industrial, retail, and office portfolios to support them in finding a Service Charge Accountant. This company are known for their excellent service across the country. In this role as a Service Charge Accountant you will be responsible for preparing statutory and service charge accounts for both residential and commercial properties. Key duties include uploading service charge budgets, liaising with external auditors, and raising service charge invoices. The company uses TRAMPS as its current property management system – this is desirable. Duties: Prepare and finalise the service charge accounts for external audit. Ensure timely issuance of any excess service charges to lessees, tenants, and clients. Calculate accruals and prepayments as necessary. Liaise with external accountants to meet deadlines. Analyse expenditure for miscoding. Ensure correct apportionment of budget charges in line with leases. Provide accurate expenditure figures for year-to-date estimates and budgets for comparison.
