Contract Opportunity: Systems Engineering Requirements and Acceptance Engineer Location: Huddersfield We are seeking a Systems Engineering Specialist to drive product development and lifecycle management under the direction of the Chief Engineer. This contract role involves ensuring that engineering processes align with product lifecycle management, managing product requirements, and mitigating technical risks. Key Responsibilities: Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the SME for systems engineering and requirements management tools. Software Integration: Implement and manage software tools such as DOORS, SolidEdge, Ansys, SAP, and MS Office. Process Development: Define and maintain processes, workflows, and best practices for systems engineering. Training & Development: Conduct one-on-one and group training sessions for the engineering team. Risk Management: Manage product requirement sets and consolidate engineering risks. Continuous Improvement: Lead process enhancements and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Skills & Experience Required: Knowledge: Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, standards, and product lifecycle management. Expertise in requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS). Familiarity with BOM structures, change control, and engineering/manufacturing processes. Working knowledge of software integration across engineering platforms. Skills: Delivery: Consistently meet project deadlines while balancing time, cost, and quality. Influencing: Use data-driven arguments to influence decisions and provide practical guidance. Collaboration: Build trusted, collaborative relationships with internal teams and external partners. Qualifications: Minimum: Degree in Engineering and Chartered Engineer status.
