Insight Employment are seeking a Skilled Wireperson for a client of ours in Milton Keynes. The Company: – Our client is an independent family-owned company with global market leadership. You would join a growing organisation in the Uk of over 250 associates at one of the UK’s leading distributors of industrial automation and control products. They encourage development and progression both within individuals and in the business by constantly moving forward and are open to acquisitions that help to strengthen their skills and offerings to also provide the best for their customers and their associates. The Role: – As a Skilled Wireperson you would work in the assemblies’ team, you will be building assemblies and panels to customers’ design and specifications. What we are looking for: – We are looking for someone with previous wiring experience to: * Complete various LV assemblies as dictated by current orders. * Complete various first off panel builds to customer specifications and drawings. * Work within the times set for builds but maintain a high-quality standard. * Able to read from and work with various types of electrical / mechanical schematics drawings. * Assist with the development of apprentices. * Maintain job packs and other associated paperwork with Job Packs. * Produce plotted and printed labels. * Work with other team members of staff including other departments to streamline the manufacturing process to maintain efficiency. * Feed back to the Engineering Team during and on completion of any specific updates required for future repeat builds. * Take on additional tasks in order to meet departmental, project related or developmental objectives. * Observe Health & Safety policy and procedures. * Take charge of your personal development and contribute to the evaluation of performance in line with the company’s core competencies and learning and development framework. Attributes Required: – * It is important that the job holder should have the persistence to see a job through to conclusion and the ability to work within a structured environment. * It will be important for the job holder to be methodical and precise in their approach. * It is important to have good working knowledge of Microsoft office systems. * A good level of education is required, with at least GSCE’s in Math’s and English (or equivalent). * Electrical Craft Apprenticeship will be an advantage. * Broad knowledge of wiring, fitting and sub-assembly best practice. * The role holder will have the ability to provide practical solutions to engineering problems. Shift/Hours: – Monday – Friday 37.5 hours per week (15 minute morning break & half an hour lunch) Rates: – Between £14.00-£15.00 per hour depending on experience If you are looking for a company that has a long-term vision and cares about its people and the planet, then look no further please submit your up-to-date CV.
