Yunex Traffic is looking to expand the product support team with an experienced Application Support Engineer providing 2nd application support to our portfolio of services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing 2nd line support for Yunex Traffic Intelligent Traffic Systems, including real-time enterprise-level applications.
  • Investigating, owning, and resolving customer incidents in line with SLAs.
  • Testing and raising software defects, managing customer communication throughout the incident lifecycle.
  • Supporting project activities, including occasional out-of-hours work.
  • Developing and maintaining monitoring tools and alerting systems for 24/7 support.
  • Managing and progressing system and application upgrades.
  • Assisting with internal and external communications on incident progress, understanding risk and impact.
  • Collaborating with R&D, Projects, and Infrastructure teams to ensure system accuracy.
  • Maintaining internal knowledge base to support knowledge sharing.
  • Promoting a culture of high customer satisfaction.
  • Ensuring compliance with ITIL processes and company policies.
  • Driving personal development with a focus on technology and applications.
  • Attending customer review meetings as needed.
  • Contributing to the global Yunex Traffic community with ideas to enhance customer experience.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience supporting bespoke applications in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
  • Solid understanding of networking principles.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based services and technologies.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, building strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Effective time management and prioritisation skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience working within an ITIL framework.
  • Knowledge of Intelligent Traffic Control Systems.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity practices and standards.
  • Experience with software deployment and project management.
  • Understanding of database technologies and data analysis.
