IT Infrastructure Engineer

Reports to: Head of Infrastructure and IS

Location: Nottingham / Leicester (Hybrid)

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week

Yü Group Plc is a leading energy supplier in the United Kingdom, committed to providing reliable and sustainable energy solutions to our customers. We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team.

The IT Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for developing and delivering the strategic and operational IT services and infrastructure across the organization. This includes supporting hardware, software, troubleshooting, and deploying new systems and services.

Compensation: £50,000 – £60,000 / year

Responsibilities include:

• Developing new technologies to improve performance and service delivery.
• Supporting and maintaining IT hardware and software licensing.
• Leading the IT team on infrastructure, maintenance, and development.
• Meeting KPIs for key systems and improving reporting processes.
• Advising on long-term IT strategy, focusing on cloud-based systems.
• Monitoring threats and vulnerabilities, implementing mitigation solutions.
• Supporting and developing IT policies, including ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials.
• Maintaining IT system security.
• Developing Microsoft 365 and other cloud technologies.
• Managing IT devices, systems, server environment, and cloud services.
• Liaising with network providers for fault resolution and improvements.

Qualifications and skills required:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of networking, operating systems, and cloud computing.
• Experience with M365 administration, on-prem server management, backup services, domain management, webservers, and security technologies.
• Knowledge of SQL, anti-malware products, and compliance standards.
