Job Description As Transport Planner you will contribute to the success of the transport team, you will be responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a quick and fast-paced environment and be able to deal with day to day challenges in providing an effective transport plan. Working hours: 5 from 7 days, 08.00-18.00 Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum (DOE) Key Duties of a Transport Planner: Work with Transport and Warehouse teams, to create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS. Subcontracting and planning orders from multiple sites across the UK. Planning daily workload of fleet: vehicles based on site and out bases. Reporting problems and dealing with issues and any queries that may arise. Planning collections per day on a time critical basis. Maintaining and exceeding agreed KPI’s. Proactively look for continuous improvements. Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business. particularly at peak periods during the year. Efficiently utilise the Culina Group network in support Stobart’s when volumes dictate. Qualifications Be able to make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale. Good geographical knowledge of the UK. Proficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Work and Outlook. CPC Desirable but not required. Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment. Customer focus on delivery performance. Commercially and Financially astute and driven to deliver exceptional results. Experience of using a TMS system. Experience in an FMCG environment.
