Job Title – Designated Safeguarding Lead Contract – Permanent, Full-time Location – Mitcham, Surrey Salary – Up to £67,762 As a Designated Safeguarding Lead, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the needs of children and young people are fully recognised and met, helping to create a safe and supportive environment where they can thrive. This is an opportunity to be part of a dedicated leadership team, reporting directly to the Head Teacher. You'll collaborate with colleagues across multiple settings to develop your skills, knowledge, and expertise in safeguarding and education. What You'll Do Take responsibility for safeguarding within the school, acting as a key point of contact for matters related to wellbeing, child protection, and safeguarding. Liaise daily with statutory and non-statutory agencies, parents/carers, and staff, offering advice, support, and guidance. Be an integral source of expertise and leadership, ensuring the highest standards of care and protection for children and young people.What We're Looking For Experience working with autistic pupils, including those who are non-verbal and use communication methods such as Makaton, PECs, or PODD.
