The Role
You will take responsibility for managing a diverse and high-volume ledger covering multiple UK and international offices. This is a varied role that requires a proactive, confident communicator who can adapt their approach to the needs of each location.
Some offices may simply require regular updates, while others may need hands-on support with collecting outstanding invoices through proactive credit control by phone and email.
Knowledge of pre-legal processes and an understanding of insolvency or professional services environments would be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a multi-office ledger and providing tailored support to each location
- Maintain accurate correspondence records in internal systems
- Allocating incoming payments
- Share responsibility for managing the credit control inbox
- Attending weekly debtor meetings and distributing reports
- Escalating complex or problematic cases when required
- Liaising with internal teams to resolve invoice queries promptly
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients
- Working with external agencies for non-paying or escalated accounts
Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 yearsβ experience in credit control or debt collection
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and multitask
