Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Associate / Senior Associate to join our Fraud & Motor team in Scotland. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality legal services to our clients and contributing to the growth and success of our team in Scotland.
This role can be based in either our Edinburgh or Glasgow office on a hybrid basis.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities;
- Manage a varied caseload of suspected fraudulent motor claims, from inception to resolution.
- Conduct thorough investigations, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and liaising with experts.
- Draft and review relevant court documents.
- Provide strategic legal advice to clients, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
- Represent clients in court and also instruct counsel, where appropriate.
- Supervision and mentoring of junior members of the team.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, case law, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to deliver integrated legal solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional standards.
What will help you succeed in this role?
Essential;
- Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3+ years PQE in Scottish law.
- Strong knowledge of the motor insurance industry, including civil procedure and litigation processes.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
Desirable;
- Experience of having dealt with suspected fraudulent insurance claims.
- Experience in handling high-value or complex claims is an advantage.
