Base Location: For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations β Perth.
Salary: Β£35,200-Β£52,800 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role
SSEN Transmission has an opportunity for an Analyst to join our Strategic System Planning Function.
Your work delivered within this role will contribute to strategies, investments and external positioning, in areas including north of Scotland future energy scenarios and energy trends, long term network development and energy system modelling.
You will
- Work with a broad cross-section of the Business Planning and Commercial directorate, wider Networks business and corporate support services including development, engineering, customer experience, finance, regulation and corporate affairs, with stakeholders at all levels
- Support the development of data models; producing and developing reports and dashboards used to inform senior stakeholders
-Research and communication of the market, internal and external stakeholders and internal performance information (both qualitative and quantitative), including competitor analysis and industry benchmarking-
- Improve the quality, quantity, regularity and consistency of research and insight that is collected and generated and establishing effective and innovative ways to present and communicate data analysis for colleagues and stakeholders
- Scan and review market activities; spotting emerging trends and themes that may affect the transmission network development in the medium and long term
You have
- Experience within a research/insight/business analysis role
- Understanding of the impact of changing markets and competitor behaviours as well as other influences in the business environment including economic developments, regulation, policy and customer behaviour
- Quantitative and qualitative analytical capability with the ability to handle and analyse large quantities of data and information.
- The ability to read and interpret energy industry scenarios and forecasts and present these to multiple internal stakeholders
- Graduate-level training or relevant experience with proficiency in using Microsoft Office and with advanced knowledge of Excel.
