The Revenue Accounting team in the Finance department ensures accurate and compliant revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606. This role focuses on delivering audit-ready financial data and supporting strategic decision-making as the business grows globally.
Responsibilities
- Assist in monthly revenue accounting close activities by preparing journal entries and performing key account reconciliations for revenue, deferred revenue, and unbilled receivables.
- Assist with revenue reporting and analysis by monitoring customer usage.
- Review standard and non-standard contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition under U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 compliance.
- Assist in the order-to-cash process by reviewing submitted sales orders to ensure proper revenue recognition and compliance.
- Manage and maintain NetSuite ARM to ensure accurate revenue recognition in ASC 606, including data validation and reconciliation processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive automation efforts that streamline revenue accounting operations and improve monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.
- Work with sales, customer success, revenue operations, and FP&A teams to obtain data and reporting for monthly revenue entries.
- Develop, maintain, and improve internal process documentation to ensure clarity and efficiency across teams.
- Perform special technical projects, analysis, and ad hoc reporting.
- Play a key role in the company financial audit, preparing and reviewing revenue-related schedules for external auditors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or ACCA/CIMA qualified or progress toward certification strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in SaaS revenue accounting with a focus on ASC 606 (desirable but not essential).
- Proficiency with ERP and revenue tools (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, CPQ).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to support both strategic and hands-on work.
