Are you passionate about engineering? As a member of our Power Electronics team, this is a fantastic opportunity to play an integral part in delivering the power electronics that control our Actuation Systems.
Job Title: Power Electronics Engineer
Salary: Circa £45,000 depending on experience
Location: Stevenage (We may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)
Dynamic (hybrid) working: Please note that this role is predominantly site based. However, it could be full time or part time in order to meet your own needs should the business be able to accommodate it. Depending on individual project needs, we are flexible and accommodating.
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. All successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
Are you looking to design high-integrity, complex systems? MBDA delivers cutting-edge products to nations worldwide, with our Power Electronics team playing a critical role. As a team member, you\’ll contribute to delivering power electronics that control our Actuation Systems—driving motors that manoeuvre fins and provide controlled movement.
Your experience will support circuit design, prototyping, testing, and hardware integration for motor control, feedback loops, and control systems during flight. You will be involved from early feasibility assessments to certification and transition to production, ensuring products meet quality, cost, and schedule targets through collaboration with stakeholders across the product lifecycle.
