As a Quality Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance processes that meet industry standards and customer expectations.

You will report directly to our Senior Quality Engineering Supervisor working out of our Southend site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Championing problem-solving activities in issue investigation forums by working cross functions to define best practices to emphasise defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste. Establishing root causes and ensure Corrective/Preventive actions are generated and closed as well as Diagnosing quality issues to the point of root cause and working through to issue closure.
* Analysing customer and operational quality issues to identify trends and drive improvements in product and process quality to reduce the impact to the Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ).
* Maintaining Quality Management System processes and documentation.
* Conducting internal product and process audits to drive improvements which comply with business processes and ISO 9001:2015 certification requirements.
* Early engagement in New Product Introduction across all product ranges to minimize risk, ensure robustness, product compliance (regulatory or otherwise) and product longevity at launch along with proactively participating and orchestrating in the implementation of site Continuous Improvement projects, using lean/Six Sigma tools.
KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
* 3-5 years of experience in Quality Engineering / Electronics Engineering with a trong process and continual improvement background. Practical knowledge of ISO9001 standards – Product, Process and System auditing.
* In-depth knowledge of Quality Improvement Tools, Problem Solving Tools & Techniques – Six Sigma, SPC, 5Why’s, FMEA & Control Plans, Capability studies (Cp, CpK, PpK) etc. IT Skills required for product data management, analysis and reporting. Microsoft Office versed, Word/PowerPoint. Excel proficient, Excellent communication (written/verbal).
* Ability to influence and coach across functions to identify opportunities to improve processes and enable process owners to implement improvements.
* Lean Manufacturing / Green/Black belt Six Sigma experience. Professional qualifications within Engineering/Manufacturing. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment.
* Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards. Experience in high volume mechanical /electrical products.
