Flood Risk / Drainage Engineer

My client provide multidisciplinary environmental, ground engineering and waste management consultancy services to clients and stakeholders in both the public and private sectors. They have been going nearly 20 years and have expanded to become a leading independent consultancy with a national and international reputation for excellence in its areas of expertise. They offer a wide range of professional services primarily related to development of land for commercial, industrial, residential, waste management, renewable energy and infrastructure purposes.

Some of the services they offer include FRA\’s, Hydraulic modelling using MicroDrainage, SuDs design, EIA\’s and water treatment. They also offer a wide range of hydrogeological services including site investigations, development of geological and hydrogeological conceptual models, contaminant transport modelling, groundwater monitoring and control.

Due to securing further workload, they are looking to employ a Senior Flood Risk / Drainage Engineer to work in their busy Leeds office. They are looking for somebody who wants to take on the challenge of developing the workstream and ultimately the team in Leeds in conjunction with the Directors and take full control of the team over time.

The successful applicant would be expected to effectively liaise with their clients and the regulatory authorities. Good written and personal communication skills are essential together with a thorough and up to date understanding of the relevant regulatory regimes.
