Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Compliance Engineer, to join our team based at our Nestlé Purina site in Sudbury, Suffolk. We’re looking for a qualified electrician, to ensure that the electrical compliance aligned with UK legislation for the development, manufacture, installation, and maintenance of Purina Sudbury products and facilities.

A day in the life of Electrical Compliance Engineer …

Reporting to the Automation Manager, you’ll be part of the Automation team but will predominantly be completing hands on work independently. Responsible for the site’s electrical compliance, carrying out repairs inspections and new installations work.

You’ll also;

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
  • Inspect electrical components to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently.
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working on electrical systems.
  • To ensure that all technical work including that undertaken by contractors is correctly managed in line with present health and safety legislation, local procedures, and is to current standards.

What will make you successful?

To be successful in this position you would need to be a fully qualified Electrician, preferably with experience working in manufacturing environment.

  • Educated to apprenticeship level NVQ 3 or hold a recognised engineering qualification in electrical engineering.
  • Preferable 18th edition wiring regulations.
  • City & Guilds Verification & Inspection testing course 2394 / 2395
  • Good technical knowledge and practical experience of working within Health & Safety legislation.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of building works and site services.
