This household name is looking for a technical specialist to lead, deliver and support all internal and, where required, external manufacturing packaging requirements, for site activities.
In this hands-on role, you will lead the development of packaging validation solutions on new and existing processes and packaging design concepts for a designated range of products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the product lifecycle management processes for packaging on site.
- Contribute to new product development with respect to packaging and artwork issues, ensuring timely introduction into production and operational cost efficiency.
- Review and optimise new packaging processes, and oversee new packaging machinery and equipment purchases, exploring new technologies for existing processes.
- Manage manufacturing validation efforts for existing and new packaging-related processes.
- Identify and drive improvement initiatives aligned with industry standards.
- Investigate complex packaging-related issues following supplier quality input as part of value stream requests.
- Identify training needs for packaging to ensure standards are maintained.
- Lead packaging audits at suppliers and other sites as part of supplier quality initiatives.
- Design and bring new packaging concepts for new products, owning the design aspects involved in introducing new packaging concepts, products, and existing product lines.
- Understand packaging waste regulations.
- Ensure responsibility and accountability for WW Packaging standards (SEP).
- Possess knowledge of packaging materials and fabrication methods.
- Experience in packaging validation within the Medical Device or Pharma industry is desirable; proven experience in a regulatory packaging environment will also be considered.
- Proven track record in packaging roles and projects.
- Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of project delivery processes.
