Our central business functions are located in an easily accessible, bright and modern head office to the west of Lincoln, alongside our mission systems team, while the majority of our operational specialists are embedded alongside our Defence customers.

THE ROLE

Our award-winning Mission Systems team designs, develops and delivers GECO – a highly flexible military aviation mission support system. As a result of our continued success and business expansion we are delighted to offer a Technical Sales role to support our business development activity for our UK and overseas opportunities and to contribute to the ongoing growth of our team.

The main duties of the role will include:

  • Assisting the Head of User Experience in the planning and management of all Mission Systems BD activity.
  • Liaising with the Company’s BD and Marketing team to ensure a coherent company-wide plan for BD and Marketing activity is in place.
  • Developing and managing Mission Systems’ range of BD support products including website entries, BD briefs, documentation and software configurations.
  • Supporting the pursuit of new business opportunities for both the Mission Systems Division and the wider business as required.
  • Undertaking Customer-facing BD activity including system demonstrations.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with the Mission Systems’ Customers.
  • Overseeing the preparation of BD demonstration systems ahead of major BD events.
  • Assisting in BD market research.
  • Ensuring that effective project management is executed across all allocated BD projects, including taking projects to contract.
  • Undertaking national and international travel as required in execution of your role.

Mission Systems Division is primarily based in Inzpire’s Lincoln office, but we are willing to consider flexible arrangements, including hybrid or remote working arrangements for the right candidate. Travel to UK and overseas locations may be required.

THE PERSON

The successful candidate will:

  • Have 5 years military aircrew experience with experience with military procurement processes.
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills, exuding energy and enthusiasm.
  • Have evidence of a high degree of technical aptitude and/or experience. A background in Test and Evaluation is highly desirable, though not essential.
  • Possess excellent verbal communication skills, including presenting and demonstrating to internal and external audiences.
  • Be comfortable working under pressure to a deadline.
  • Be happy working individually or as part of a team, including as a leader.

Due to the nature of elements of the role, the successful applicant must
be a UK National and may be required to successfully complete National Security Vetting which may require criminal record, security service and credit reference checks; qualification will also normally require a minimum UK residency of at least 5 years.
