We have an exciting opportunity to work with one of our long-standing projects in Southampton and Chichester areas. We are actively recruiting Support Workers who have good experience working with vulnerable young people between the ages of 16-25, in a Supported living environment.

The shifts are 24 hours with a highly paid sleep-in, rotas are done one month in advance (subject to change) and you can work up to 4 x 24 hour shifts a week if you wish and when there is availability. Most shifts are lone working 1:1 with the young person but there is plenty of support available via the management team and on call.

Applying Support Workers will ideally possess the skills and mindset capable of working with vulnerable Young People who may have had to face many traumatic issues, which has led them to where they are now. You will need to have good initiative and be able to self-manage to plan your day and achieve all tasks as well as fully engage with the service user you are supporting.

As a Support Worker you will be emotionally resilient, patient, and empathetic; understanding the need for consistency in your approach. The ability to create and maintain safe working boundaries between you and the Young People you will be supporting is of paramount importance. These are Young People who can at times, display behaviours that are challenging and unpredictable.

A good understanding of OFSTED regulations and requirements would be desirable.
