Level 3 Nursery Assistant

Prospero Teaching are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Level 3 Nursery Assistants to join multiple dynamic EYFS settings across Southampton. The successful candidates will support with the delivery of the Early Years curriculum and ensure the well-being and development of all children.

As a Nursery Assistant, you will:

• Assist in the planning and implementation of activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social development of children.
• Support the daily routines of the nursery, including meal times, nap times, and outdoor play.
• Maintain a safe and stimulating environment for children.
• Observe and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to parents and carers.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
• Adhere to all safeguarding and health and safety policies and procedures.

About you:

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
• Previous experience working in an EYFS setting.
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passionate about working with children and supporting their development.

Contract or position start date – ASAP

Duration – Permanent/Temporary - A number of jobs available

Full time/part-time – Both - a number of roles are available

Hours – Variable

Essential & Desirable Qualifications/requirements:

• Level 3 qualified - ESSENTIAL
• Experience in an EYFS setting - ESSENTIAL
• Experience with supporting the development of SEN learners (desirable)

• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide references upon request
• Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
