Job Summary The Area Sales Engineer will serve as the first point of contact for new and existing customers across the North of England and play a pivotal role in driving the growth of the company. The successful candidate will build long-term relationships with clients and represent the company at events and exhibitions, showcasing its innovative capabilities. Key Responsibilities * Preparing and delivering high-quality presentations to promote products and services to prospective clients. * Collaborating with existing clients to anticipate their needs and provide tailored recommendations from the range of machinery. * Building and maintaining strong communication with customers through regular calls, meetings, and documented reports. * Representing the company responsibly and professionally at exhibitions and conferences. * Negotiating and closing orders to meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets. * Managing technical and commercial customer inquiries while fostering strong client relationships. * Working closely with internal teams to achieve shared success. * Managing budgets through effective financial planning and record-keeping. The ideal candidate will possess the following: * Experience selling high-value equipment in a high-pressure environment, ideally in the steel machining sector. * Confidence and competence in preparing technical documents, reports, and quotations. * Proficiency in MS Office applications. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to listen and respond proactively. * Knowledge of capital equipment and its applications is highly desirable.
