Job Description
Our client is a successful and growing contract catering
company and they are currently recruiting for a Chef Manager
for one of their school contracts based in Guildford, Surrey.
They are looking for someone with great cooking and people
management skills. You will be an experienced Chef Manager,
used to cooking using fresh seasonal ingredients at volume,
managing your kitchen and liaising directly with onsite clients.
As manager you will head up the team, making sure service
runs smoothly and that all due diligence is adhered to.

Hours:
– 42 week contract (term time)
– 45 hours per week
– Monday to Friday
– 6.30am-4pm
Duties
-Managing the successful operation of the catering unit through
the team, ensuring customers have an inspiring experience
encouraging them to return thereby maximising the unit’s
commercial contribution.
-Recruits, manages and inspires the team so that they are
excited and want to perform at their best, thereby providing a
safe environment and an outstanding customer experience.
-Understands, tracks and manages the departments profits and
loss drivers so as to minimise costs and optimise the units profit
contribution to the business.
-Ensures the team have completed all their relevant safety and
food legislation training including allergens and safeguarding,
to ensure sites maintain company standards and are compliant
so a consistently safe customer and colleague experience is
maintained every day.
-Plays an active role in the education model supporting
hospitality functions and promoting the business positively.
Creates legendary client relationships through understanding
and meeting needs in a timely manner.
-Maintains adherence to the operating standards to deliver
consistently strong standards across the sites and in line with
business policies and procedures.
-Consistently seeks to deliver best food, including presentation
and service of product.
-Delivers an excellent customer experience so that the teams
can see what great service looks like.
-Monitors overall performance and strives to deliver long-term
sustainable customer satisfaction.
-Builds a rapport with customers and client to support the
objective of helping pupils eat more adventurously.
