As an established partner to social housing providers, Tier 1 contractors and local authorities, they deliver innovative insulation, heat pumps, solar PV, and smart heating solutions.With ambitious growth plans and a mission to create lasting social and environmental impact, we are seeking a visionary Sales Director to spearhead their expansion across the public sector and social housing markets.You will define and execute a national sales strategy, leading a dynamic team of BDMs to secure high-value contracts and forge long-term partnerships. This is a senior leadership role that demands strategic commercial expertise, exceptional team leadership, and a passion for sustainability.
You will play a key role in scaling our impact while driving revenue growth in a fast-evolving sector.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sales Leadership – Develop and implement a national sales strategy to achieve aggressive revenue and market growth targets.Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and results-driven performance.Establish and monitor KPIs, ensuring the team consistently meets or exceeds targets.Business Development & Market Expansion – Identify, pursue, and secure major contracts with social housing providers, local authorities, and Tier 1 contractors.Maximise opportunities through government funding schemes (e.g., SHDF, ECO4, Warm Homes, ORP).Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, converting leads into profitable, long-term partnerships.Proposal & Bid Strategy – Collaborate with bid, technical, and operations teams to develop compelling, high-value proposals tailored to client needs.Ensure proposals align with funding requirements, technical feasibility, and commercial objectives.Stakeholder & Client Management – Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and policy forums, enhancing brand visibility and influencing sector trends.Cultivate trusted relationships with key decision-makers, ensuring high client satisfaction and repeat business.Work cross-functionally with account management and delivery teams to ensure seamless project execution.Market Intelligence & Reporting – Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and policy changes, adapting strategy to maintain competitive advantage.Deliver accurate sales forecasts and performance reports to the executive leadership team.Essential Skills & ExperienceProven track record in senior sales leadership, preferably within energy efficiency, retrofit, social housing, or construction.Strong understanding of public sector procurement, funding mechanisms, and complex B2B sales cycles.Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Experience leading and scaling sales teams in high-growth environments.Strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.Knowledge of renewable energy technologies (e.g., heat pumps, solar PV, insulation, smart controls).Familiarity with energy efficiency standards (e.g., PAS 2035, TrustMark).Passion for sustainability, decarbonisation, and social impact.If you are a strategic sales leader with a passion for sustainability and a drive to make a difference, we want to hear from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
