Overview

Equifind are excited to have joined up with an ambitious international real estate investment firm in London, who are looking for a new finance manager to join the business.

We’re looking for a finance manager, who has a strong background in managing and developing teams, whilst leading the financial reporting from the front.

This is a very hands-on opportunity where you will be involved with overseeing all accounts preparation, handling all treasury matters, running the budget & forecasting processes and interacting with the board. It has a very wide remit, so you must enjoy having authority and being a key member of the team.

Responsibilities

Key duties and responsibilities for this finance manager position include:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day financial and accounting operations of the Company and Group entities
  • Ensuring that monthly, quarterly and annual reports are available for the Board, to enable effective decision making
  • Lead and manage the audit for the group
  • Ensuring robust financial controls, processes and procedures are in place and operating to the highest possible standards
  • Managing the quarterly funding requests across the company and client group entities for all projects
  • Providing leadership, direction and management to the finance team to enable the Company to provide the highest level of service to our clients
  • Supporting the Head of Finance to develop and implement a financial strategy that both capitalises on opportunities for efficiency gains and reduces risks across our international finance operations
  • Take the lead in training and professional development of finance team members to promote their continuous improvement and development
  • Manage the treasury function for the team including forecasting cash and working capital positions to maintain financial stability across international entities and projects, managing any currency risks that may exists
  • Supporting the Finance Director in agreeing budgets
  • Forecasting spend and monitoring performance against financial budgets and forecasts
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the business to identify and realise opportunities for efficiency and process improvement
  • Ensuring continuous compliance with local accounting, tax, legal and reporting regulations and requirements, working with external consultants as required
  • Assist with various projects and ad hoc work requested by the senior management

Experience & Qualifications

  • Fully Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 3-6 years PQE (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • A background in real estate investment or financial services would be advantageous
  • Strong experience of managing audits
  • Experience of different software would be a plus
  • MUST have a strong background in team management
  • Be a self-starter and deliver reports in a timely and accurate manner

The business has grown its headcount considerably due to expansion, and you will be joining a high performing organisation.

You will be integral to supporting the head of finance with all thing’s day to day. While you drive the financial reporting, you will also be tasked with developing the finance team and running a well-oiled finance team.

This role offers maximum exposure to business operations with you working closely with teams across regions and other senior stakeholders.

Working pattern

The business likes everyone to be office-based, so you will be required to be in 4-5 days per week. They do offer flexibility as and when needed, though.

Daily Rate/Salary

This finance manager opportunity in London will be paying in the range of £75k-£80k, depending on your experience and industry background. Comes with all the normal perks.

Interview process

We will be running interviews over the course of the next few weeks. Ideally, you will be on a months’ notice but we can look at three months’ if you tick all the boxes.
