Position
Operative – Fixed Term Contract, 38.5 hours per week until 31 August 2026.
Job Summary
Operative at the Lee Moor Site. Responsible for running the IBC machines, the bagging line and the polarite plant. Requires flexibility to cover two shift patterns (days and nights).

Summary of the Role (Responsibilities)
- Liaises with shift supervisor on work schedule and instructions
- Operates IBC and bagging machines and associated equipment
- Operates the polarite plant
- Moves goods and skips by forklift or using other plant equipment
- Moves finished goods from production lines, placing them in the required area
- Re-stacks reject pallets and keeps record of recycled quantity, rates, and quality
- Knows the relevant Internal Product Specification and packaging
- Understands product quality and customer centricity value
- Complies with sampling procedure when taking samples
- Tests periodic samples according to quality control procedures
- Ensures the production line has all necessary consumables to run
- Maintains a clean and safe work area with a high standard of housekeeping
- Maintains the necessary operational, quality, safety and environmental records
Attributes and Qualifications
- Teamwork and proven ability to work effectively as a team player
- Problem‑solving & decision making: enquiring mind, sound decision decisions
- Safety consciousness: high level of safety awareness
- Preferred forklift operator and valid driving licence
- Experience with SAP
