Alexander Lloyd or partnered with a reputable Pensions organisation based on the North East who are looking for a Pensions Officer to play a vital role in supporting the Pensions function through effective oversight, control, and risk management. This role will be a 15 Month FTC with a possible chance of a Permanent role upon completion. About the Role: As a Pensions Officer, you will be instrumental in supporting the development and maintenance of governance and risk frameworks across the Pension area. This is a first-line role with a strong focus on control mechanisms, compliance, and continuous improvement. Your key responsibilities will include: Developing and maintaining a robust controls monitoring programme . Identifying, escalating, and helping to mitigate risks in line with corporate risk policies. Acting as a liaison with the Risk team for incident reporting and follow-up. Supporting the preparation and submission of the annual Master Trust supervisory return . Ensuring ongoing compliance with Master Trust responsibilities . Coordinating the development, delivery, and publication of the annual AAF (01/20) internal control reports . Reviewing and validating Systems and Processes questionnaire responses to ensure accuracy and relevance. Serving as the main contact between external auditors and the Benefits area during audits. ✅ What We’re Looking For: Experience in pensions administration, governance, or risk management . Strong understanding of control frameworks and regulatory compliance. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
