The Electrical Bias Engineer is essential in maintaining and improving the electrical systems within the workplace environment for the WSP account.
Job Description
This role ensures that all electrical infrastructure operates efficiently and safely, contributing to a positive experience for employees and guests. The Engineer collaborates with various teams to uphold the core values of ISS and WSP, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
Your responsibilities include routine maintenance, troubleshooting, installations, and upgrades, all while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards to enhance the overall efficiency and reliability of electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance and Repair:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Conduct inspections and testing of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Installation and Upgrades:

  • Install new electrical systems and components as required.
  • Upgrade existing electrical infrastructure to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Ensure all installations and upgrades meet regulatory and safety requirements.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Monitor and update electrical management systems with accurate and timely data.
  • Generate and analyse reports on electrical system performance and maintenance activities.
  • Assist in budget tracking, invoice processing, and expense reconciliation for electrical projects.

Coordination and Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for electrical-related queries from employees and contractors.
  • Liaise with suppliers and service providers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of electrical services.
  • Facilitate internal communications, distributing updates and notices related to electrical systems.

Health, Safety, and ESG Compliance:

  • Maintain records of health and safety checks, incident reports, and audits related to electrical systems.
  • Support the implementation of ESG initiatives, including energy efficiency and sustainability programs.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies in all electrical activities.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline electrical processes and develop best practices.
  • Assist in the rollout of new electrical technologies or initiatives, providing technical support and training materials.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an electrical engineering role, preferably in facilities management or a workplace environment.
  • Proficiency in electrical systems, equipment, and maintenance practices.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and reporting processes (preferred).
