Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer Hybrid | Up to £55,000 2–3 days on-site in Stevenage each week | Must be a British Citizen or Dual UK National I’m hiring for a unique role in a standout EMC team that’s split between hands-on testing in a state-of-the-art facility and embedded project support across some of the most advanced defence programmes out there. This isn’t your standard EMC job you’ll be involved across the whole product lifecycle, from early-stage concept through to final delivery, helping to shape and support the EMC strategy that keeps these systems performing exactly as they should. What you’ll be doing: Working directly with project teams to make sure EMC requirements are built in from the start Writing key documents like EMC Control Plans, Proving Plans and Environmental Requirement Specs Reviewing hardware and designs – sometimes hands-on, sometimes at your desk Supporting testing and providing advice around EMC risks and mitigations What we’re looking for: Background in electronics, electrical engineering, physics or similar Solid understanding of EMC and how to apply good design principles Comfortable managing your own time, working to deadlines and flexing with project needs Any experience with military or aerospace EMC standards (Def Stan 59-411, Mil-Std-461 etc.) is a big plus Due to the nature of the work, you’ll need to be a British Citizen (or dual UK national) and be willing and able to undergo security clearance If you’re looking to join a high-performing team with real impact, and you want variety, ownership, and a mix of hands-on and strategic work then this EMC role is for you.41bf1e1f-b16b-4260-a40a-17c77a06fd15
