Join our Startup and make a difference as Engineering Manager – FinOps!
In this role, you will lead one of our autonomous product teams. This team covers our FinOps platform, which includes handling the disbursement of funds to our array of global nonprofits. Teams at Goodstack function by making decisions based on our business objectives. In our teams, engineers delight in fully taking part in making product decisions, so it’s important that you enjoy contributing to and steering the product discussion.
As an Engineering Manager, your mission will be to:
- Play a vital role in the product life cycle from concept to production, actively engaging in product ideation and development.
- Champion tight feedback loops throughout the product lifecycle.
- Balance empathy for customer needs with a visionary perspective that goes beyond simply delivering a faster horse.
- Cultivate an environment where freedom and safety are paramount, empowering every individual to contribute fully.
- Maintain team performance by ensuring team members are motivated, adhere to our pillars, and deliver on schedule according to yearly and quarterly business objectives.
After 3 months, Success will look like:
- A good understanding of the domain.
- A good understanding of the team role and dynamics inside Goodstack.
- Be driving the team towards its mission.
This Role is a perfect match for you if you have:
- Proven engineering experience, with a strong grasp of technical aspects within cross-functional teams.
- A sense of accountability that enables your team(s) to deliver business value consistently and pragmatically.
- The ability to execute to a deadline when required.
- A keen eye for ensuring Goodstack’s wider engineering goals progress alongside product-focused work.
- Experience recruiting and onboarding engineers, with confidence in your ability to attract and retain them for Goodstack.
- A commitment to providing continuous performance feedback and mentorship, helping engineers achieve their quarterly and annual goals, supporting their career growth, development, and dreams.
- Strong relationship-building skills for fostering trust with key stakeholders across all domains.
- The ability to write clearly and concisely.
Bonus, but not required, if you have knowledge or love of:
- Domain-Driven Design.
- Artificial Intelligence as it may contribute to driving innovative solutions for us and our partners.
