Job Title: Court of Protection NQ Solicitor Location: South Manchester Sector: Legal 500 Firm – Private Client (Court of Protection) Salary: £30,000–£40,000 DOE Contact: Millie – Simpson Judge Legal I’m currently working alongside a highly regarded Legal 500 firm based in South Manchester , who are looking to expand their specialist Court of Protection team with the addition of a newly qualified solicitor. This is an exceptional opportunity for an NQ solicitor with a genuine interest in Court of Protection and mental capacity law, to join a supportive and growing team working on some of the most meaningful and complex deputyship matters in the region. The Role: Assisting with a caseload of Court of Protection matters, including property and financial affairs deputyships, applications to the Court, and ongoing client management. Working closely with experienced solicitors and Partners on high-value, often sensitive cases, typically involving individuals with acquired brain injuries and complex care needs. Liaising with families, medical professionals, case managers, and financial advisors to ensure a holistic service for vulnerable clients. Drafting legal documents, managing files, and ensuring compliance with professional standards and deadlines. The Ideal Candidate: A qualified solicitor (0–1 years PQE) with a seat in private client or Court of Protection during training, or prior paralegal experience in this area. A demonstrable passion for working with vulnerable individuals and a genuine interest in long-term Court of Protection work. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach. Organised, compassionate, and confident managing sensitive matters with professionalism.
