We are looking for a reliable and experienced Electrical Engineer to carry out service maintenance works on commercial sites in Derby. The successful candidate will provide a professional service to our clients working on a varied selection of electrical maintenance.
Installation and Maintenance: Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of low voltage electrical systems, including but not limited to lighting, power distribution, fire alarm systems, security systems, emergency lighting, and access control.
Testing and Inspection: Conduct regular testing and inspection of low voltage electrical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and relevant codes. Complete necessary documentation and reports accurately.
Fault Diagnosis and Repair: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve faults in low voltage electrical systems, using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques. Carry out repairs and replacements as necessary to ensure uninterrupted functionality.
Preventive Maintenance: Carry out planned preventive maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime, increase system reliability, and extend the lifespan of low voltage electrical systems. Create and maintain maintenance schedules.
Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. Comply with electrical regulations, codes, and standards to ensure safety and minimize risks. Report any hazards or incidents promptly.
Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other team members, contractors, and clients to achieve project goals and customer satisfaction. Provide guidance and support to junior team members when required. Documentation and
Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, work orders, and equipment inventory. Ensure that relevant documentation and records are up to date.
Requirements:
- C&G Level 2 and 3 Diploma Electrical Installation (Or Equivalent)
- C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2 (Test & Inspection cert preferred)
- 18th edition
- Strong Electrical & HVAC experience
- Knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems
- Knowledge of building fabric and experience in carrying out basic fabric reactive repairs when required
- Sound understanding and experience of meeting Health & Safety obligations about maintenance activities
- Must be prepared to work out of hours when required
- Have good communication and organisation skills
- Have a positive \βcan do\β attitude
- Must have a full UK driving license
- Ability to work on own or as part of a team
