Pay Rate: £38 per hour

Job Description:

Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for an Independent Reviewing Officer for its client to join as Chairperson in the Child Protection team based in Staffordshire.

What will your responsibilities be?

In this role, you will chair Child Protection Conferences and statutory Child in Care reviews, ensuring all plans are robust, achievable, and centred on the child\’s needs. You will visit children, gather their views, and ensure their voices are central to decision-making. As an Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) and Child Protection (CP) Chair, you will scrutinise multi-agency planning, challenge delays, and escalate concerns where necessary. You will also monitor Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), Personal Education Plans (PEPs), and Health Assessments, contributing to quality assurance and promoting restorative, child-centred practice across Staffordshire and beyond.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have,

  • Social Work England registration
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Post-qualified experience
  • Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
