Quality Engineer (Groundworks/Civils) – Hitchin – Up to £55K We are looking for an ambitious and committed individual to join our clients growing engineering team as a Quality Engineer. You will need to have relevant experience in Residential Groundworks projects as an Engineer or managing quality assurances on civil or housebuilding projects. The Role: * Your role will be to audit Housing and Groundworks workmanship with the assistance and guidance of the Housing Quality Manager, to improve quality and ensure compliance with relevant Authorities and External Bodies across Herts., Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire and North Buckinghamshire. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: * Carrying out Quality Checks in a professional and timely manner, ensuring accuracy and consistency. * Identify and highlight workmanship of sub-contractors and report to relevant persons when required. * Liaising with Regional Teams to arrange Audits on relevant sites. * To carry out quality audits on materials and feedback effectively to the relevant persons. * Aid the Quality Manager to help develop and implement quality standards. * Help educate Site Teams on quality standards and expectations. * Work alongside regional teams to highlight issues and agree effective close outs. Requirements: * Experience of site work in house building, ideally residential groundworks. * Strong knowledge of NHBC standards, guidelines and Building Regulations. * Knowledge of groundworks, housing and site operations. * Experience of checking others work and providing feedback. * Strong communication skills. * Well organised with a keen eye for detail. * Professional with the drive to help improve standards. * Ability to learn new processes and work under own initiative. * Engineering/Construction background * Full UK Driving License. * A valid CSCS card
