We’re looking for a Head of Digital Product to join our management team here at N Brown where you’ll be responsible for our Attract, Onboard, Service and Retain Tribe as well as working on some of our most important missions including financial services.

Reporting to our Director of Digital Product you will drive the digital strategy and roadmap to ensure continuous improvement of the digital multi-channel experience. You will guide and manage a team of Product Managers, providing support and leadership whilst generating new initiatives and opportunities for enhanced digital experiences and improved ways of agile working.

What will you do as a Head of Digital Product at N Brown?

People Leadership

  1. Set clear goals and KPIs for team members and periodically review all the KPIs owned by the team spanning across multiple products.
  2. Carry out line management responsibilities for direct reports, and develop and coach people, oversee members of the product community, their role, their assignments, development and performance.
  3. Conduct fair performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback for the team/individual to improve and facilitate the development of colleagues in the team.
  4. Lead Product Managers at all levels to identify and implement emerging opportunities to address future demand and direction of their product.
  5. Work across technology leadership to bring together the right skills and resources into squads to execute on our product.

Product Management

  1. Understand key user personas, customers & stakeholders for our products and their pain points well and steer the team in the right direction by putting best team members in the most value generating products/business priorities.
  2. Ensure appropriate documentation and reporting is in place to gain commitment from executive board.
  3. Contribute in capability and capacity planning for Product Management across the portfolio.
  4. Ensure effective product strategy is in place so that the portfolio of products meets goals of the business strategy.
  5. Identify emerging opportunities where existing or new products could add value to the broader business.

Stakeholder Engagement

  1. Work with the technology leadership team to ensure the Product team capabilities are in sync with the technical strategy, keeping future roadmap/likely requirements into account and build team capabilities accordingly.
  2. Handle conflicting priorities well, communicate clearly and understand how to drive a high level of focus and excellence.
  3. Maintain and establish new relationships with suppliers and business partners relating to your product portfolio.

What skills and experience will you have?

  1. Worked within a retail/ecommerce environment.
  2. Demonstrate considerable expertise and experience in Product Management and can drive the strategy and direction of multiple complex products.
  3. You can demonstrate knowledge of the wider digital economy and advances in technology.
  4. You create an environment for success and support working with other digital, data and technology colleagues.
  5. Comfortable and self-assured working within a senior leadership team, demonstrating long-term vision and objectives.
  6. Able to communicate clearly the strategy and connect the work in tribe or squad to the business strategy.
  7. Knowledgeable on product management best practice tools and methodologies, giving direction on which tools or methods to use.
  8. You have strong skills in influencing, questioning and coaching. You can anticipate how constraints might change and know where to question challenge or remove constraints.

Ways of Working

We offer hybrid working which varies across the business depending on the role you’re in. Our Head Office is located in the Northern Quarter in Manchester City Centre. So if you are travelling by train, tram or bus we’re perfectly located, plus we’re surrounded by cool cafes, trendy bars and the best places to eat!

Our working hours are 36.17 per week and our core working hours are between 10am – 4pm. Given we don’t have strict working hours you can find the working pattern that’s right for you.
