At GT Aero Services, part of the Sulzer Group, we specialise in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of Aeroderivative Industrial Gas Turbines, supporting critical operations across the globe. Known for our technical capability and responsive service, we're proud to play a key role in the performance and reliability of gas turbine assets for energy, power generation, and industrial customers.

As we continue to invest in our people, facilities, and services, we're looking for a forward-thinking Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to step into a high-impact role and shape how we deliver MRO excellence across the full gas turbine lifecycle.

Your Impact

  • Lead and develop the engineering team, ensuring high-quality technical output across all turbine strip, inspection, and overhaul work
  • Oversee component-level repair processes, including hot section repairs, rotor refurbishment, and control system updates
  • Provide technical support to global service centres, vendors, and on-site operations
  • Define and deliver technical procedures (SOPs, POPs) and lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Part Development teams to drive efficiency and reliability
  • Support the development of long-term service partnerships.

About You

  • We're looking for someone with a strong technical foundation, but also the leadership and commercial awareness to influence change and drive performance.
  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • Extensive experience in gas turbine MRO – ideally including aero-derivative units, but broader turbine experience will be considered
  • Demonstrable track record in strip, inspection, overhaul, and repair of rotating equipment
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset, with a drive to improve processes and deliver customer value

What We Offer You

  • A competitive salary
  • Annual performance-based bonus aligned with both individual and company results
  • Private medical insurance for you and your partner
  • 33 days of annual leave (including public holidays) to support work-life balance
  • Access to a wide range of retail and entertainment discounts – including the option to join Costco for exclusive member savings
  • Discounted personal car leasing available for employees, family members, and friends
  • Confidential support through our Employee Assistance Programme, offering guidance on personal and professional matters
  • Ongoing learning and development through Sulzer Learning Pathways and structured on-the-job training, helping you grow your career with us
