Role and key responsibilities for Goods in/Goods out operative:
• Assisting the Goods Out Supervisor and wider team to ensure that orders are packed in accordance with time, quality and quantity targets
• Keeping your work area clean, stocked and ready to work
• Following health and safety procedures to ensure the welfare of yourself and those around you
• Checking quality Control of processed stock / packaged items, ensuring it meets company standards for customer satisfaction
• Assisting drivers/porters with loading vehicles
• Updating warehouse management system to aid in product accuracy checks
• Supporting wider warehouse team when required
• Ensuring all processes and working practices comply to Company / Site procedures.
Minimum Requirements for Goods in/Goods out operative:
- Forklift driving qualification
- Hard working, proactive and independent
- Organised, responsible and trustworthy
- Strong Attention to detail you\’ll need to be able to follow strict operational guidelines
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritising workload and multitasking
- Adaptability to changing daily tasks
- Professional demeanour with team members across our organisation
- Previous warehousing and packaging experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Interested in the way our business works with creative plans on how to improve it
- Open-minded and eager to learn, and keen to share your own experience for the benefit of others
