A school in Essex is looking for a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join their team full-time from September 2025.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a specialist setting that is truly pupil-centred. You\’ll be joining a strong and supportive team that understands the value of trauma-informed practice, flexible teaching strategies, and meaningful, relationship-based learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong, consistent relationships that foster emotional regulation and self-confidence
- Deliver creative and adapted lessons to meet the needs of SEMH learners
- Support pupils with diverse learning profiles including Autism, ADHD, and anxiety
- Work closely with TAs, pastoral staff, and external professionals
- Implement clear routines, positive behaviour management, and therapeutic strategies
- Track academic, social, and emotional progress
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience working in an SEMH or high-needs SEND environment
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Calm, consistent behaviour management and communication style
- A relational and trauma-informed approach to learning
- A passion for helping pupils re-engage in education
