Locum Consultant – Emergency Medicine (NHS Fixed Term)
Applications are invited for a Consultant that specialises in Acute Medicine to join a busy, innovative and friendly team at a Trust based in greater London.
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to cover for the planned maternity leave of a colleague. Candidates wishing to work less than full time are also invited to apply.
The Trust will support consultants in developing a special interest within Emergency Medicine such as Academic Emergency Medicine, Paediatric Emergency Medicine, Major Trauma, Emergency Ultrasound, Emergency Geriatrics or pre-hospital care.
The post is located in a leafy suburban town in a highly sought after location due to its close proximity to many well-regarded grammar schools in addition to restaurants and local markets.
The Hospital has 525 funded beds, and approximately 80,000 emergency attendances per annum. It serves a population of 500,000. The Emergency Department is supported by a comprehensive pathology service and there is a large modern radiology department offering a good range of services including CT, MR and interventional radiology.
The post holder will have the following:
- Full registration with the general medical council
- Wide experience in all aspects of Emergency Medicine
- Experience of undergraduate and post-graduate teaching and exam preparation
- Experience of clinical research
- Ability to demonstrate leadership capability within multi-disciplinary teams
