The Role Senior Execution Trader · Boutique Global Macro Hedge Fund (Mayfair based x 10-years exp ) Martis Search are representing a boutique Mayfair based Hedge Fund to hire a permanent “Senior Global Macro Hedge Fund Execution Trader.” The Hedge Fund will be growing a lot in the next few years and the position reports directly into their CEO. This is a senior Hedge Fund Front Office role and our client needs someone with a minimum of x 10-years relevant experience. It is of an Executive level banding, but without managing any staff. This senior-level Execution Trader will be responsible to lead and manage trade execution across global markets, across multi asset classes including Equities, Fixed Income, FX, OTC Derivatives (Interest Rate Swaps, Credit Derivatives), Futures & Options and Commodities. Due to the high trading volume and complexity in the role, our client does prefer people to be in the office more than working-from home, but there will be some flexibility from time-to-time. Key Responsibilities • Execute and oversee trades across multiple asset classes and geographies, ensuring best execution. • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and Portfolio Managers, providing market insights and execution intelligence. • Lead the development and refinement of execution strategies, including algorithmic and high-touch trading. • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, banks, and liquidity providers. • Monitor global market conditions, liquidity, and macroeconomic developments to inform execution decisions. • Ensure full compliance with internal risk controls, trading policies, and regulatory requirements. • Provide detailed post-trade analysis and contribute to performance attribution and reporting. • Represent the trading function in senior leadership discussions and cross-functional initiatives. Qualifications • 10 years of experience in execution trading, preferably within a “Global Macro Hedge Fund”, or top-tier Investment Bank. • Proven track record of executing complex trades across FX, Interest Rates, Equities, and Commodities. • Strong understanding of macroeconomic drivers and global market dynamics. • Experience with EMS/OMS platforms and algorithmic execution tools. • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders. • Technical proficiency (e.g., Python, SQL) is a plus but not essential.
