Our client

Our client is a leading European Investment Bank who are seeking an individual to work within a brilliant, close knit legal team as an employment counsel. The individual carrying out this role will work closely with HR, providing a mix of contentious and non-contentious legal advice on a range of employment matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering legal support on all employee relations issues, including handling grievances and disciplinary cases, and supporting HRE internal employee investigations.
  • Supporting the dispute resolution team in managing employment related litigation, particularly cases arising from the SMCR and other HRE matters.
  • Drafting and reviewing HR related commercial agreements and forms/templates, and assisting HRE in updating relevant HR policies.
  • Advising HRE on developments in case law or legislative changes, and providing legal training to HR on new legal requirements.
  • Providing general assistance to the Dispute Resolution team in relation to a range of litigious processes, contentious regulatory matters, and various internal investigations.

Experience Requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer ideally between 2-6PQE either from a leading employment practice in a law firm or have moved in-house (financial services experience beneficial).
  • Experience in having day to day responsibility for advising on HR related matters in addition to some contentious employment experience.
  • Comfortable communicating with senior internal stakeholders on employment law developments, risks, implications, and issues.
