·      Experience in impact and sustainable investment techniques is welcome.

·      Knowledge of Scotland’s place ecosystem and market dynamics is desirable.

·      Enjoy working flexibly to transaction-driven deadlines in a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

Key Responsibilities

·      Leading or supporting deals from origination through to structuring and close across a wide variety of place-focused investments.

·      Collaborating with Investment Risk, Investment Legal, and Impact Assessment colleagues to deliver sound, mission-aligned investments.

·      Managing due diligence, financial modelling, and risk analysis; contributing to the structuring of loans, equity investments, or hybrid instruments.

·      Drafting and reviewing investment papers and supporting more junior colleagues’ development.

·      Ensuring appropriate legal documentation is successfully negotiated and concluded in line with governance and policy standards.

·      Fostering sustainable relationships within the place investment ecosystem in Scotland, including banks, advisers, co-investors, and entrepreneurs.

·      Supporting strategic engagements with government and industry stakeholders to advance the Bank’s place-based mission.

At the Scottish National Investment Bank, you will find a supportive culture that values your expertise and autonomy, encourages continuous learning, and offers opportunities for meaningful work. On offer is a salary range of £83-98k, depending on your level of experience. In addition, we offer 30 days annual leave plus public holidays, a 12% non-contributory pension and access to our EV Salary Sacrifice and Green Commute Cycle to Work Schemes, volunteer days and much more.
