AXA Partners is seeking a skilled and motivated Finance Analyst to join our International Portfolio Reporting Team in Redhill. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact on our financial operations.
The UK & Ireland Geography operates through several different legal entities, and you\’ll support the International Portfolio Reporting team in managing the revenue and technical accounting of approximately 300 different contracts. This role has a specific focus on Travel and Car Hire Excess products sold in the UK, Ireland and the European Union. Our international contracts are booked in many different currencies, and some operate through reinsurance programs and fronting agreements.
At AXA Partners we embrace a Hybrid way of working, offering our people the flexibility to divide their working time between our Redhill office, and home working for up to 2 days per week as standard.
What You\’ll Be Doing
As a Finance Analyst, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality insights and analyses to senior management. Your expertise will help drive informed decision-making while promoting process efficiencies within the team.
- Monthly premium reconciliation and claims rebilling, calculation of commission, fronting fees and profit share.
- Monthly reconciliation and submission of IPT (Insurance Premium Tax) data concerning multiple European Union markets.
- Generation of accruals and deferrals along with relevant audit lead schedules.
- Reinsurance accounting including preparation of cession statements.
- Produce & update management information packs to support business decision-making.
- Prepare and submit balance sheet and P&L accounts to the group.
- Ensure the technical balance sheet reconciliations are accurately and regularly prepared.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and rolling forecasts.
What You\’ll Bring
- Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience.
- Previous experience in insurance or technical accounting is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and a passion for problem-solving.
- Positive attitude with a desire to progress within the organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to think strategically.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
