LGV Container Driver

Newmarket Full-Time No home office possible

Overview

Turners (Soham) Ltd is the UK’s largest privately owned transport Company. We are looking to recruit LGV Container Drivers based out of Newmarket.

Shifts

Shifts available: Monday – Friday Tramping. The haulage industry has varying hours and timings; flexibility in start and finish times is required. We have day, tramping, day shifts & night shifts available. Shift lengths vary but you will be expected to comply with the Tachograph & Working Time Directive regulations at all times. Occasional nights out may be required for day drivers due to unforeseen circumstances.

About the role

As a professional driver working for Turners Container Division, you will be required to demonstrate skill, professionalism and excellent customer service. Working for our container division you will develop close working relationships with your planning and training team, alongside other drivers and staff members in a close knit organisation that strives to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for all.

Experience and training

As a large and ever expanding company, Turners can take on new drivers with limited experience. All we ask is you are willing and keen to learn, growing our driving crew with knowledgeable and competent members. We are always keen to take on experienced drivers and recognize the knowledge and strengths you can bring to the organisation.

Requirements

Full HGV Class 1 (C + E) licence (1 year Preferred)
Driver CPC & Tacho Card
35 hours CPC
Container experience (preferred)
Good knowledge of written and spoken English
(No test drives can take place without these documents and Minimum PPE of Safety Boots)
