Due to increased global growth, our client, a leading global logistics provider that provides a high-quality level of freight forwarding and logistics services, are looking to recruit an Air Freight Coordinator to be based at the London Heathrow office in Slough, Berkshire.\\nThe Company:\\nA recognised player in the Freight Forwarding and Transportation Industry who also specialise in the Supply Chain and Logistics Solutions. Annual salary reviews\\n * Monday – Friday shift pattern: 8.30am – 5.30pm\\n * On commencement 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, rising to 25 days plus 8 bank holidays\\n * Private medical cover & pension\\n * Access to our Employee Discounts and Perks, which includes Grocery Shopping, Holidays, Movies, Sports, Wellness and many more.\\nMain Purpose of the Role:\\nReporting to the Air Freight Manager, the Air Freight Co-ordinator will handle air freight forwarding operations from start to finish whilst offering exemplary customer service to the client base.\\nDuties and Responsibilities of the Air Freight Co-ordinator:\\n * The ability to co-ordinate with Network partners and UK clients to arrange air freight shipments to be shipped from origin to destination country\\n * Basic understanding of INCOTERMS and the risk and liabilities of each term\\n * Ensuring all shipments adhere to international trade regulations, customs procedures, and export control laws\\n * To quote shipments prior to movement and applying agree rates where necessary\\n * Building relationships with airlines for cargo bookings and rate negotiations\\n * To liaise with partners to reach out for quotes and rates\\n * Familiarity with various export documents and their purpose\\n * Ensure all air export jobs are completed correctly and in a timely manner\\n * Ensure all customs declaration tasks are completed correctly and in a timely manner\\n * Monitoring the progress of shipments from origin to destination, providing updates to destination partners.\\n * Understanding of HMRC Volumes 1 & 3 of the UK trade tariff.\\n * Ensure the operational system is always used correctly\\n * Maintain regular communications with the network and sales team\\n * Liaise with HMRC and maintenance of customs procedures\\n * Ensure all reports are completed as per provided deadline\\n * Passing invoices from suppliers and providers within 48 hours from receipt\\n * Ensure insurance is charged correctly and ensure insurance claims are given to the claims department immediately\\nTo Be Considered:\\n * Proven experience, gained within air freight forwarding operations\\n * Knowledge and experience of Import and/or Export multimodal business\\n * Knowledge/skills required for Air Freight sales and products\\n * Demonstrate quality communication skills along with good presentation skills\\n * Proficient with Microsoft packages especially Ms Excel and general PC knowledge\\n * Good understanding of logistics processes and procedures\\n * Must be able to prioritise and organise own workload with attention to detail\\nFor more details, please contact Willis Global – a leading Recruitment Consultancy for the Supply Chain & Logistics industry
