Job Description

Bonding Technician\\nNewcastle upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear\\nAn opportunity to join an exciting organisation as a Bonding Technician\\nThe purpose of the role you will be responsible for the installation of composite components into a vehicle chassis to the required quality standards and project timescales.\\nYou will need to work well within a small production cell with the ability to build relationships and communicate well with the other business functions, especially the Engineering and Quality team.\\nMain Duties & Responsibilities:\\n * Install interior vehicle composite components using bonding methods to the required level of quality within the required project timescales.\\n * Maintain production work area to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient workspace.\\n * Fabricate shop aids, required tooling, test specimens and developmental parts where required\\n * Maintenance of the production logs and documenting all work for traceability and auditing.\\n * To participate in the training programme, undergo further training as required and participate in schemes to ensure on-going competence.\\nQualifications, Skills and Experience:\\n * Dexterity and attention to detail manipulating composite panels and build fixtures.\\n * Ability to read and understand technical drawings, documentation, work orders, quality specifications, and process guidelines.\\n * Strong team working skills and ethos.\\n * Strong attention to detail with the ability to work precisely and accurately to manufacturing schedules.\\n * Previous experience within a manual manufacturing environment.\\n * Aptitude for following safety protocols.\\n * Ability using cutting, trimming, sanding, drilling, and finishing tools.\\n * Capability to actively participate in continuous process improvement.\\n * Capacity to maintain clean, safe work environment and procedures.\\n * Experience with armoured vehicles would be preferable but not essential.\\n * You will be a good team player with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and develop your skills and being able to use initiative to suggest solutions to problems.\\n * Previous experience with bonding applications desirable.\\nWe will consider people who have worked within wet work type environments for example, paint shop, adhesive production lines, composite manufacturing or bespoke uses of silicone.\\nThe Core hours are hours of 08.30hrs to 16.30hrs, there is flexibility to start from 7.30hrs Monday to Thursday with a half day on Friday.\\nA Competitive remuneration package offered.\\nSalary negotiable and dependent on experience.\\nIf you feel that you have the necessary skills and experience, we would like to hear from you
