Who We Are Looking For
You are willing to extend yourself into a dual role of Bartender and Server Assistant. As a Bridgeman’s Chophouse Bartender, you will present qualities reflecting the professional and proper atmosphere of Bridgeman\’s Chophouse. You will use your craft‑cocktail experience and desire to work in fine‑dining to ensure each guest of Bridgeman’s Chophouse has the ultimate guest experience. When performing duties as Server Assistant, you will deliver prompt and accommodating service to guests and deliver an elevated level of service.
Bridgeman\’s Chophouse is open for dinner only. Holidays may include lunch and dinner shift times. Position part‑time, 2-3 days per week.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Take beverage orders from customers and servers, and serve drinks as requested, paying extreme attention to detail.
- Mix beverages using an extensive range of ingredients including liquor, bitters, soda, water, sugar, and fruits; prepare, slice, and pit fruit for garnish.
- Collect payment from guests, issue receipts and/or change; abide by all cash handling procedures.
- Abide by all company and state guidelines regarding food handling and the sales and service of alcoholic beverages.
- Ensure all bar tools, glassware, and the bar area are maintained throughout every shift to the highest cleanliness standards.
- Maintain a well‑stocked bar with adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and any other accessories.
- Organize the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory.
- Perform opening and closing duties as needed.
- Assist with side work including, but not limited to: cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
- Assist servers to consistently deliver a quality experience for guests.
- Prepare food stations and maintain organized and clean guest tables.
- Serve food and drink to guests at the direction of the server.
- Clear, clean, and reset tables in preparation for arriving guests.
- Act as a connection between front of house and back of house when necessary.
- Maintain regular and punctual on‑site attendance with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when business requires.
Job Requirements
Education / Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous fine dining experience preferred.
Certifications:
- TABC Server Permit required within 60 days of hire.
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills with guests, team members, and management.
- Proficiency in restaurant POS, reservation, and/or inventory applications.
- Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Strong observational skills.
Physical & Mental Requirements:
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move up to 20 pounds with or without assistance.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, sometimes more than 8 hours.
- Ability to hand‑carry service trays with 3 covered entree plates.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a high‑demand, fast‑paced environment with changing variables.
- Ability to apply patience and understanding to all persons and situations.
- Ability to perform well under pressure to meet the needs of guests, team members and/ or management.
Work Environment:
- The work environment includes high guest contact; may involve varying conditions and circumstances with guests, staff, visitors, etc.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
