Overview
Mobile Patrol Officer based in Horley. Pay: £12.60 per hour. Hours: 42 hours per week (4 on, 4 off, 12 hour shifts).

Join our team as a Mobile Patrol Officer and help deliver world-class security services across a portfolio of client sites. You’ll provide mobile security solutions including internal and external patrols, alarm responses, vacant property inspections, and escort services. You’ll be the face of Securitas, ensuring the safety of people, property, and assets while upholding our core values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.
This role emphasizes high standards of conduct and teamwork, following clear instructions from Team Leaders, and managing vehicle checks and handovers at the start and end of each shift.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a range of mobile security services including locks, unlocks, internal and external patrols, alarm responses, vacant property inspections and escort services
- Maintain a professional, polite and helpful attitude towards clients, staff and Securitas colleagues at all times
- Complete vehicle handovers and checks at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring the security of the company vehicle and equipment
- Follow proper escalation processes for incidents, break-ins, health and safety issues and road traffic accidents
- Escalate incidents, risks, breakdowns and RTAs to the Team Leader, reporting RTA in line with company policy
- Follow site assignment instructions and conduct dynamic risk assessments upon arrival at client sites
- Demonstrate understanding and engagement with the Securitas Core Values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness, while recognising risk and prioritising safety, complying with relevant policies and training
Qualifications
- A valid SIA licence
- Full UK manual driving licence
- Flexibility to work days and weekends
- The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history
- Punctual and reliable
- Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken
