Our client is a dynamic consultancy in the utilities and infrastructure sector, with 19 offices across the UK and Ireland. As the business continues its ambitious growth trajectory, they are seeking a high-performing Executive Assistant to support the CEO in a strategic, business-critical capacity. This is an opportunity to become fully embedded in the senior leadership function, acting as a true business partner to a CEO who leads with integrity, fairness and a strong people-first ethos.
This role is designed for an Executive Assistant who operates with commercial instinct, calm authority and high emotional intelligence. Youll work closely with the Executive Board and Senior Leadership Team, contribute to leadership conversations, and act as an extension of the CEO in everything from decision-making to stakeholder management. The environment is fast-paced and collaborative, and youll need to bring presence, resilience and a sense of professional curiosity to every part of the role.
The position is based five days a week at the companys open-plan HQ in Bicester – a beautifully converted barn designed to encourage conversation, visibility and energy. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on being fully immersed in a growing business where youll influence, enable and evolve alongside the CEO – not just support them.
Key Responsibilities
This is a strategic Executive Assistant role, offering direct access to the CEO and a meaningful presence within the Executive Board and Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will operate with a high degree of trust and autonomy, supporting both the rhythm and decision-making of the business.
- Act as a senior-level partner to the CEO, providing high-quality support across meetings, briefings, travel, and priorities
- Contribute to leadership discussions and off-site meetings, ensuring clarity of action and alignment with business goals
- Serve as a key liaison between the CEO, Board, senior team, and wider organisation
- Bring foresight, structure, and pace to an evolving leadership agenda
- Uphold and model the companys values in all interactions, supporting a high-performance and inclusive culture
- Mentor and support a broader community of EAs to ensure consistency and team growth
- Confidently adopt digital and AI tools to increase efficiency and leadership effectiveness
- Be willing to occasionally travel across UK and Ireland offices in support of the CEOs visibility and engagement goals
About You / Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant with a minimum of five years supporting at C-suite level, including regular exposure to boardroom environments. The ideal person will bring a solid understanding of corporate governance, discretion, and decision-making rhythm at the top of a business. You will have the confidence to prepare, track and progress high-level actions from board packs / meetings, take ownership of critical tasks and operate as a seamless extension of the CEO. This is a role for someone who not only manages information and logistics, but who takes initiative, sees the bigger picture, and delivers outcomes with minimal direction.
You will be commercially minded, emotionally intelligent, and naturally curious – someone who wants to understand how the business works and where it is going. Youll be proactive, solutions-focused and have the judgement to act as a trusted advisor as well as a structured operator. Tech-savviness, excellent communication, and a confident yet humble presence are all key.
